Things To Do In Athens Odeon of Herodes Atticus Odeon of Herodes Atticus, Athens Overview The Odeon of Herodes Atticus is a stone theatre structure located on the southwest slope of the Acropolis. It is an integral part of the historical and cultural landscape surrounding the Acropolis. It was built in 161 AD by the Athenian merchant Herodes Atticus in memory of his wife, Aspasia Annia Regilla. The open air theater has been continuously used as a venue for music concerts.
